Has anyone noticed that with finder 5.5 when you create a new folder the number of this folder is zero. Then if you create another folder its number will also be zero. To check this I first created two folders and then created two empty files with Edit, and put one of each in the two folders. I then used file star to get file info for each of the two files only to find that both files resided in the folder numbered zero. This causes problems when I then try to discard these folders (its not allowed) since, as far as the dialog says the files within the folder are busy. I had this problem with finder 5.4 also. Is it the finder or is me? Am I the only one with this problem and if so what is my problem? I used the installer script for the Mac plus when I updated my hard discs system and finder. Yet, the problem also occurs when the disk, obtained from an Apple dealer, containing the original updates is used as the current system disk. Milt Sagen UUCP: {hp-pcd}orstcs!orstph!milt
