THANKS and MORE Thanks -- but a new problem! Thanks to all that answered my first query about MacTerminal and Word. The consensus answer was that you couldn't double-click on the doc to open the transferred document for editing. You had to open the Word application, then open the document from the File menu. Yes, I was trying to double-click. I solved the problem by putting MacTerminal, my MacTerm document, and Word all on one diskette and then moving the documents there to be edited. That has worked. To those that wanted to know the answer, that's the answer - and thanks to all those that provided it. Now I have a new problem. I can't macget the edited file back to the UNIX system. I can macget an unedited file fine. Command: macget -u I select Send File from the File menu and name the file -- and the percentage meter sits there with no response. If I Cmnd-dot out of it, the message says "No response from the system" -- I'm assuming that refers to my Mac system. But I get no response from the UNIX system after the percentage meter disappears, even Ctrl-C and Ctrl-D and I am forced to hang up to get out of it. I have tried to send the edited file as a Text file and as a Text File with Line Endings under Word and get no response in either case. Now what am I doing wrong? Something simple again? Once again, please email to me (I got lots of responses) and I will post the answer to the net. There are others out there who said they wanted to know too, but I want to minimize repetitious traffic in News. ThankZve orse D
