[comp.sys.mac] A new application for laser printing!

With a little empirical investigation (read: trial and error), I have come up
with a fun new application for laser printing: T-shirts. How do I fit the
shirt into manual feed slot :-)? Actually, it's a variation on standard
photo silk screen techniques. If you've done photo silk screen before,
the following information should get you going:

Stencil: Hunt/Speedball Photo Silk Screen Emulsion

Artwork: 3M Copier Transparency Film fed through an Apple LaserWriter

Exposure: 4 minutes of late afternoon sunlight (about 7:00 PM this time
		of year)

I used a thick plastic-based fabric ink, so I made all of my lines at least 2
points wide (2 pixels in MacDraw), but the screen came out quite accurately,
so with thinner ink you caould probably handle much thinner lines.

Producing the positive directly on the LaserWriter is much cheaper and
quicker than doing it by normal photographic means. It's a little fuzzier,
but with a good thick ink it doesn't seem to make much of a difference.

Much fun.
