I am posting this message on behalf of our university music department.
They are looking for software for teaching music theory on a Macintosh.
This does not include music composition programs, but actual CAI programs
for teaching 1st and 2nd year university music theory, as well as programs
for ear training. The programs should interact with a midi keyboard such
as a DX-7. There seems to be lots of such programs for the IBM PC and
Apple II line of computers, but they have not been able to find anything
except music composition programs for the Mac. There must be something
out there we're overlooking.
