[comp.sys.mac] DiskRanger: who was that masked author?!

matthews@batcomputer.UUCP (05/26/87)

A few months ago I ran into a nice disk catalogging program called Disk
Ranger. Today I started actually using it and found that it is JUST
WONDERFUL. What a delight!

I've used Macintosh Disk Catalog, Disk Librarian and CatDisk, but
for my purposes Disk Ranger is far and away the best. Admittedly my
purpose is a bit specialized: I need to create an 80-character wide text
file columnated entirely with <space>s (for use as a public file on a
mainframe). And Disk Ranger is _less_ flexible than the others, if
anything. But its "default" (unchangeable) configuration is so sane
that it seems as though the options I would have wanted would have
proved to be less useful than the author's.

So I went to "About Disk Ranger..." under the Apple menu to find out
where to send my $. First surprise: it's free. Second surprise:
nowhere can I find any indication of who wrote the program.

If you, gentle reader, wrote Disk Ranger, or if you know who did,
would you please let me know how to contact the author so I can
express my appreciation?
