[comp.sys.mac] Fancy Text Editing

damon@upba.UUCP (Damon Scaggs) (05/28/87)

Can someone tell me what is the easiest way to go about writing a text editor
for the Mac that supports multiple fonts and font attributes. Apparently
the ROM textedit routines don't do this and I need to. Any suggestions or,
better yet, code would be helpful.

The best way to go about this now is to use the 'fancy' TextEdit
routines documented in Inside Macintosh, Volume V (available from
APDA). They provide text font and style changes, and are available
in ROM on the Mac II and Mac SE, in RAM under System 4.1 for anyone
with a Mac 512Ke or Mac Plus.
