A friend of mine has a Mac and received some Microsoft BASIC program to run on it. My friend wanted to look at the source code for this program, but it is written in something called "direct mode". From what I can tell from looking at (older) Microsoft BASIC manuals, "direct mode" just means there are no line numbers preceding the BASIC statements. Is there some way, using Microsoft BASIC on a Mac, to look at the source of a "direct mode" BASIC program? With all the problems just trying to look at it, how does one even create such a file? How would one change a "direct mode" program (for instance, to correct a bug)? Any help would be appreciated. Please reply via email or USnail ... M.Y.
