Can anyone comment on how you configure a network of MAC IIs running A/UX using the model of a large central NFS server and no or low disked clients? In particular can you run them like Sun 3/50s with no hard disk at all? My guess, based on no information at all is that the answer is no. I would guess that you could put a minimal private root partition and swap area on a 20 meg local hard disk, and get everything else via NFS from a vanilla NFS server. I would also guess that Apple would look to pick up Sun NFS 4.0 to allow real diskless operation at a later date. Other guesses or some real information from the Apple people would be appreciated. -- Ken Mandelberg | {akgua,sb1,gatech}!emory!km USENET Emory University | km@emory CSNET,BITNET Dept of Math and CS | km.emory@csnet-relay ARPANET Atlanta, Ga 30322 | Phone: (404) 727-7963
