By "tools for automatic testing" I mean programs allowing me to: - specify sets of input parameters for a C function, - run the function non-interactively with every specified input set, - record the corresponding return values (and possibly side-effects) for manual examination or as reference values for testing later versions of the same function. Such packages may be very useful, but it is unlikely that people involved in a short-term project have time enough to build them. Still, it would be strange if nobody had ever done anything similar.
