In playing with the latest Finder (5.5) and Chooser I have noticed some small inconsistencies. One is a "bug" that has remained from the first version of the Finder: when you open up a folder window and view it in a mode other than "ICON" mode (e.g., by date or size), the horizontal scroll bar is inactive even though there is almost always text running beyond the right side of the window. This is annoying, too bad that it still hasn't been fixed. Another small inconsistency was the decision to have a separate Chooser DA rather than allowing the choice of Printer resources to made by the Control Panel. The new modular form of the Control Panel should have a printer symbol in the left vertical panel, which, when selected, would effectively invoke the Chooser options (ImageWriter, LaserWriter, etc.). This would also get rid of the need for an extra DA; there is still a restriction on the total number of DA's.
