On the Mac II, is greyed-out text (e.g. disabled menu item) done the old way, or using the Mac II's grey-scale capability? The later would clearly be more legible, but I can see there might be problems, except for menus (where the function is done by a ROM routine). A related question: Is anyone creating grey-scale fonts? Smoothing the edges with greys is said to give good results. Radford Neal
