Hi all!
Ran across some Jasmine ads and thought I'd pass them on.
1. Jasmine has raised the price of their 20M drives from 579 -> 649.
I hope this increased price means better quality, testing and service.
I though drives were supposed to go *DOWN* in price. 8-)
2. Jasmine has a 10M FLOPPY drive! neat-o. Disks are ~30 a piece.
It is SCSI hardware, but costs ~1400. Whew!
3. Lastly, they have announced a 40M piggy-back drive. This drive
actually snaps onto the back of your Mac Plus, replaces the on/off
switch and power cord with its own and has a SCSI port to replace the
one the drive uses. All for only $1299.
Lastly, I would like some info on memory upgrades. I want to go from
my 1M Mc+ to 2M. I've seen ads for Dove, MacMemory and others with
what I want for ~250. Any opinions on the best memory upgrade around.
I'm not planning on any internal hard drives or big screens, so
cabinet space isn't an issue. Also, I'm not a heavy power user, so I
think 2M will suffice for QUITE awhile. My jobs are usually small, so
I'm not really looking for upgrad-ability to 4 meg.
Thanks
