[comp.sys.mac] Can a Mac use 240 volt power supply

engst@batcomputer.UUCP (07/08/87)

Hi,
I need to know if a standard Mac (of any flavor) can use the 240 volts that
are standard in New Zealand. I've heard that the SE can use the 220 volts in
Europe, but I don't know about New Zealand's odd voltage. Can someone help?
                              Thanks,
                                  Adam Engst

New Zealand uses 230 volts 50 Hz. I've used U.S. manufactured
computers with 120/220 switchable power supplies without any
problems. I really can't imagine any equipment that would
complain of the extra 10 volts. The slightly larger picture
on the screen might be nice :-)
