I have recently purchased a new Mac SE. (I have been using a Plus at work for a year or so) I have a small problem with the SE, and I would like to get some feedback from the net: The minute I turned the machine on I noticed an annoying problem with the display. The screen quivers (shivers, wiggles, flickers, whatever). Not dramatically, but noticably. The problem is at first most noticable in the upper left corner of the screen near the menu bar, but if you look closely, opening windows and looking at icons in other locations, it appears to be happening all over the display. Occasionally the display will "wiggle" a little more intensely. My Mac+, and the other Mac+ and 512e machines in the office, do not display this behavior. It is very annoying. The problem is that when I took the machine back in to the dealer, the day after I bought it, he looked at it and said "oh that looks pretty normal to me". In fact, the display model was doing the same thing. He was sympathetic enough to allow me to exchange my machine for another one. Great, I thought. Not so. The new one does the same thing. (That's 3 for 3). My questions to the net: 1. Do you have an SE (or more than one)? 2. Does the display flicker or wiggle slightly but nonetheless abnormally? (My Mac+ display is as steady as a sheet of paper on a desktop :) 3. If so, what have you done about the problem (exchange, adjustment, complain..)? 4. Did the remedy in #3 help at all? If you are an SE owner please take a minute to reply, and I will summarize the results. I really would like to know if I am just unlucky or if this is something we all have to live with.
