> Lightspeed C: According to their Customer Support, there's >an update available that has been posted to CompuServe; it fixes >the problems that LSC had with self-modifying code, and also >fixes the bit-banging problems with the handle attribute bits, so that >programs written with this new LSC *will* work with any future 32-bit >operating system. I think you can download the upgrade for nothing; I don't >know what THINK's upgrade policy is with respect to this. I've downloaded the upgrade of LSC 2.01. It turns it into LSC 2.11. I haven't had a chance to install it yet. The policy is you can download and install it for the download costs, or contact think and get an upgrade for (I think) $10 and your original disk. Call Think for details. This release also adds tentative support for everything in IM #5, pending the release of IM #5 (which they claim is still changing to some degree). And some other things, but I don't remember what offhand. chuq
