Let me get away, briefly, from the arrow-key discussion to ask this question. I know it has been discussed here before, but I wasn't in a position to follow the discussion carefully then. I'd really like to have the TextEdit part of my application handle tabs. (nothing fancy; it's for monospaced text editing.) I have one way where I know I can do it, but it makes me want to barfola so I'm continuing the search for solutions. 1) Is there some way of calling TEDoText to do it? I don't think so, but I thought I'd ask. 2) Is there some way of intercepting calls to TEDoText (and sometimes passing things through to the real TEDoText) to do it? This would require intimate knowledge of the workings of TEDoText. Anybody know if it can or can't be done? Writing my own TextEdit is not currently a viable option, but it may be eventually. For now, I'd rather punt on tabs than rewrite TextEdit. Brian H. Powell UUCP: {ihnp4,seismo,ctvax}!ut-sally!brian ARPA: brian@sally.UTEXAS.EDU _Work_ _Not Work_ Department of Computer Sciences P.O.
