Is it possible to use macros with Microsoft word 3.0?
I have many files that include dot commands which
were expanded to nroff commands. Now someone wants to use a
Macintosh to update these files, (poor soul) and I would like to
know if I can translate these macros for Word 3.0
The text looks something like
.header
some text
.descr
text lines
text lines
.rest
few lines of text
-------
The dot commands (macros) are fewer than 10 and there are no real nroff
commands in the text, but the text is several hundred lines so doing this
by hand is out of the question. And besides we dont want to tie this
document to the Mac.

Is there a *roff emulator for Mac ?
How does one concatenate many text files (plain ascii files)
into one with a single command?
As you can tell, I am not a Mac user.
