[comp.sys.mac] Switcher and printing.

loucks@intvax.UUCP (Cliff Loucks) (08/07/87)

Frequently, but not always, when I'm printing to the LaserWriter
from MacDraft (running under Switcher) my machine will either
suddenly reboot (like the reset switch was pressed) or I'll get a
dialog saying an internal error occured, that my file is OK, and
that I should start printing over again. The system is:

	Mac Plus (upgraded)
	10 MB Hyperdrive
System 3.2 (can't use newer system/finder until new
Finder 5.3 Hyperdrive software is out.)
	LaserWriter and Prep 4.0
	Switcher 5.0.1
	MacDraft 1.2a

When the reboot accurs, it is after communication with the
LaserWriter is finished; so while my machine is rebooting the
LaserWriter is successfully printing out the document.

Does anyone see anything incompatible here? I also haven't been
able to get font substitution to work (from several applications)
but I haven't looked into that much yet.

Thanks, Cliff
