Following the instructions in a recently released Macintosh Technical note, I wrote to Apple and requested a copy of the glue for the SysEnvirons trap call, which I received. Since I mainly use Lightspeed Pascal (I don't have MPW Pascal), an MPW-format library is of no use to me, so I did the following: - Used DumpObj to disassemble the library. - Extracted the module containing the SysEnvirons glue. - Assembled the smaller module into a separate object file. - Used an (experimental!) .O converter to make a Lightspeed Pascal library from the MPW object file. The resulting LSP library works perfectly well. \ My question is the following: I figure that this little library could be useful to Lightspeed Pascal users who want the SysEnvirons call, and I was considering uploading my library and the interface source to comp.binaries.mac for distribution. Will this cause legal problems? I don't intend to sell this, but as as I said, this could be really useful... I'm addressing this question mainly to the Apple employees who read this newsgroup, since they're the ones who are best prepared to answer the question.
