Most Mac binaries posted to comp.binaries.mac are Binhex files that have been split up into two or more parts to enable them to survive the perils of net.travel. It is a royal pain to manually combine these parts, deleting extraneous stuff etc. before downloading them to the Mac. It would be nice to have a program that would do this for you automatically. So I dug deep into my personal archives and found two programs comb.c and bhcomb.c that claimed to be able to do this. Unfortunately, neither of these programs did everything right and choked on one thing or another. Does anyone out there have a program that would do this ? I mean a program that has been tested and found to work and not something that someone saved but never used. Please e-mail. Thanks. A.
