[comp.sys.mac] Rumors & Questions: CE's Tempo, Beck-Teck MacMovies, $49 Apple upgrade

moriarty@tc.fluke.COM (Jeff Meyer) (08/15/87)

Having just read the last two issues of MacWeek, and having listened to a
friend's enthusiastic rantings over HyperCard, I have a couple of notes,
punctuated with questions:

* CE Software is apparently coming out with a keyboard macro program. I was
about to buy Tempo, but have always been much more satisfied with CE
Software's products (like MockWrite and DiskTop 2.0). Besides, they're the
ShareWare producers who have backed up their products every time I've needed
anything. Anyone heard when MockTempo :-) might be out?

* Y'know, I still would like a decent animation package for the Mac+.  I'd
use Steve Beck's MacMovies (from Beck-Tech), except it doesn't allow me to
insert sound into the animation process. Now, a MacWeek article has come
out mentioning that it would have sound, "soon". Any idea if they're
committed to this, or is this idle musing on Beck's part?

* And I have gotten two opposite responses to my question of whether it's
$49 each for HyperCard and the MultiFinder/Utilities disk sets, or that it's
$49 for the whole thing. Anyone at Apple know?

Thanks for any info generated...

"Yes, it would be the easy way...
but it wouldn't be the COWBOY way."
