The following annoucments come from EE Times August 17, 1987.  I make no
guarentees that these products exist, are available, or are correctly described
as this is at least third hand info.

Levco, Inc annouced a Transputer-based series of add-ons from for the SE and II.

SuperMac showed the Spectrum 1000/24 with 16.8 million colors.

Dynamac Computer Products is shipping it's DynaMac portable.  15 pounds, $4,995
for EL display, soon a $3,995 plasma display version.

Automatrix, Inc announced a industrailized version of the Mac II.

Sound Wave, Inc announced a $995 system expansion chassis for the SE.  With
it's own power supply, it can contain up to 4 SE cards.  They are also working
on an expansion chassis for the SE that will allow up to 8 Mac II (that's
right II) cards.

New Image Technology annouced the first under-$1000 15-inch add-on CRT.  Displays
832 x 600 at all times can call scroll to 1024 x 1024.

LoDown showed a CD-ROM and WORM drive system for the Mac

Priam show a 230 megabyte drive for the Mac II

On the software side:

ParcPlace Systems announced it's SmallTalk 80 development package for SE and II

Back-Tech showed off it's MacMovies animation system

Silicon Beach Software announced Super 3D and Super 3D-enahced.  Enanced version
uses 68881 and is compatibile with the unannouced PICT-2 format from Apple.

Kandu Software annouced CADMover, a package to move AutoCAD files from the PC
to the Mac.

MacroMind introduced VideoWorks II, a color version of VideoWorks for $195.

Anatex showed a handwriting regonition system for the Mac.

Back to the hardware side:

GCC has begin shipping a $2,599 Laser Printer for the Mac.  It doesn't use
PostScript, but rather interprets QuickDraw directly.  Six pages per minute
with page assembly done on the Mac.

HP annouced Macintosh ScanJet scanner with 300 dpi and 4 bit grayscal.
