It seems that many people are interested in obtaining a Chinese word processing package. From all the comments I have read on the subject, I realized that most causal users such as us have failed to look closely to the information technology in the People's Republic of China. In fact, the information technology in China is moving very fast and exciting. I highly recommend a publication called 'China Computerworld' which is an excellent source to obtain the information on the latest developments in Chinese information processing in China. Unfortunately, there are only few items are in English, so if you do not know Chinese very well, it does not help you very much. Anyway, from what I have read, there are many Chinese word processing packages available now in China and they are not very expensive either. In my opinion, the reason we do not know much about them may be the lack of publicity or China does not consider overseas markets are not big enough. Another reason may be the fact that the requirements for non-Chinese speaking countries are different to those for Chinese speaking countries or regions. If anyone wants to know about certain areas, I will be very glad to help. In fact, I have few ideas I wish to implement. ---- Mail: Qing, Zhong. Dept.
