[comp.sys.mac] help needed: CODE vs. PROC resource

kkim@uiucdcsb.UUCP (08/28/87)

i tried to combine an application and resources for it using RMaker
(version 2.0D2, 1/29/86). there was no problem when i compiled resources
other than an application code. when i tried to include an application code,
RMaker would not accept it. i tried a couple of ways without any success.

when i tried 'TYPE CODE', RMaker said 'unknown type'. when i tried
'TYPE PROC', it said 'bad object definitions'. what is wrong here?

in lightspeed pascal, there is a run option which allows me to specify a
resource file and i succeeded in combining them. however, i want to know
how to do it in general using RMaker.

BTW, what is the difference between CODE and PROC resource types?
i know that CODE is a predefined resource type. is PROC also predefined?
which of the two do i have to use to include an application code?

also i would like to know where/how i can get a good document about RMaker
and RedEdit/REdit.

any help will be appreciated. thanks in advance.
