A while back, someone posted a listing about driving compugraphic typesetters with Macs, saying that >PS Publishing, in San Francisco, is finishing up a program called PS >Compose, which is a dtp-type program that is based upon the MCS command >set. Their initial release should be this fall, and it will drive the >Compugraphic typesetters, as well as any PostScript device. > >i don't think they have finalized pricing yet, but it will probably be >at least $1000-$1500. > >call Robert Simon at PS Publishing, if interested > 415-433-4698 > 290 Green St., Suite 1 > San Francisco, CA 94133 I passed this on to someone in our department who is purchasing some Mac IIs for use in publishing. Originally the plan was to use 300 dpi output and paste into documents created on the Compugraphic equipment, with the idea of eventually integrating the two. However, when he called the above number, there was no number there. Directory Assistance has no number for PS Publishing in the San Francisco area. Does anybody out there have a current address for PS Publishing? I'd also be interested in hearing about any other suggestions for Mac-to-Compugraphic MCS hookups. Thanks.
