well now for question number two: is there any alternative to the Insider's Guides to the Macintosh out (i.e. cheaper) or should I go ahead and blow the approx. $100 for the set.? Also, how good are those manuals (i.e. how well do they cover the various ROM routines that the Mac has, etc. etc. I'm sure they do it quite well but I'd like to know if there was anything as good or better for a reasonable cost...) Also, do I need all four? I would like them for some semi-heavy programming in Pascal (and eventually C) using windows and all but I don't need any hardware specific stuff.... And lastly, does anyone know if there's going to be a new version for the Mac SE (as far as I know, they only have up to the Mac Plus... or at least that's all I saw in the CMU bookstore). Is there any recommended sequence to buy them in if I can't afford to buy them all at the same time.... That's the end of these stupid questions, Thanks for any help anyone gives me (and if you don't you can....) No, honestly, give a good opinion on what you think, I'm just in a wierd mood because I'm trying to read what two people on talk are typing at the same time.... The End. Terence
