[comp.sys.mac] Need pinout for Mac+...

mhorne@tekfdi.TEK.COM (Michael T. Horne) (09/05/87)

HELP!!!

I need pinouts for the RS-232 port (modem port) on a Mac Plus. I have no
source for the pinout of the "round-8" connector on the back, and need
it so I can make some special cables.

Please reply directly to one of the address below.

Thanks a bunch in advance!

Mike

There have been a number of requests lately for the pinouts for the
Mac. Below is a text version of technote 10. It is in text format
since a number of people don't have binhex.

Macintosh Cable Pinouts

Note for the cable descriptions below:

1.	The arrows ("--->") show which side is an input and which is an output. For example,
the notation "a ---> b" means that signal "a" is an output and "b" is an input.

2.	When pins are said to be connected on a side in the Notes column, it means the pins
are connected on that side of the connector.
