I've been a beta tester for Lightspeed Pascal V1.1 (the first
version to run on the Mac II), and had been very pleased with the
quality of the beta version.
To my great pleasure and surprise, out of the blue today I
received a call from a gentleman at Think advising me that the
"real", released version is now available (Version 1.11A) and is
being made available over several networks (such as Compuserve
and Delphi) as an "upgrader" utility that is applied against the
original released version of Lightspeed Pascal.
While I don't have the update yet, I will post it to
comp.mac.binaries when I receive it. However, as there may be a
several week delay (as I'm traveling), you might want to look for
it on another net.
In any event, I just have to say how pleased I was to actually
receive a phone call indicating that the release was available.
I have NEVER had such personal and thoughtful service from any
microcomputer software company (I'm STILL waiting for my Word
V3.01 update), and Think deserves a big WELL DONE!
Disclaimer: I have no connection with Think, Inc. other than
having beta tested their interim version of Lightspeed Pascal,
and being a very (make that VERY) satisfied purchaser of LSP.
These opinions are my own and not necessarily those of my
employer.
