Does anyone have a suggestion for what microcomputer hardware and software might be appropriate for someone who wants to count beta particles? The beta particle counter has an RS-232 interface, so it looks at though there are many computer choices. I'm hoping some of you have done something similar to this and have suggestions on the system and software setup that work well. This information is for a person in the Medical Microbiology department here at Stanford. Please send replies to me unless you feel others may have an interest in this topic. Thank you.
