A department here is getting the new Personal Laser Printer by
General Computer and we're trying to determine the type of cabling
needed. This department will have an external SCSI harddisk in
addition to the PLP. Is the cabling needed for the PLP something
exotic or could we make it in the Computer Center here. Does the
cabling need special shielding or terminators? The reason we ask
is that the dealer told us we would need a $50 MAC-SCSI cable and
another $50 SCSI to SCSI cable (these are Canadian $'s, so don't
be shocked about the prices). We can usually make cables for a lot
less than that.
