I asked this question once before, but got no answers. Perhaps somebody now knows: The Font/DA Movers 3.2 and later do not recognize Princeton Font. This font, #13, has a FOND resource which looks okay to me (I compared it to Geneva's, and couldn't see any problems), and its got 4 sizes as FONT resources. KeyCaps, Word and MacWrite all recognize it. But when you open FDA mover it looks like its not there! What gives? I tried renumbering the FOND and FONT's to see if there was something unlucky about 13, but had no luck! Anybody else have some suggestions? Thanks Jim Meiss jdm@ngp.UTEXAS.EDU

Perhaps the font is not in the System folder but is inside the application that you're using. In that case, the application can be opened by holding down the Option key while clicking the "Open" button.Z

Actually, there IS somenthing wrong with the Princeton font that causes it to fail with FDA Mover 3.5 (or vice-versa). I don't know exactly what it is but someone who works with me figured it out not too long ago. I believe that it had something to do with a resource within the file not being empty when it should be. I'll have to ask him. Or, anyone out there who is more familiar with font formats than I am (just about anyone) can try to work from this info and post what they find. -- Keith Rollin Sales Technical Support Apple Computer Disclaimer: I read this board as a genuinely concerned Mac-Head. I have had reports that Princeton font is ignored by Font/Da mover 3.5. However, I have not been able to reproduce this problem. It is important to note that Princeton font 3.2L and later has the FOND resource, while earlier versions do not. Make sure you have the latest version...at least you should have 3.2L. The latest version is 4.1L, which is IDENTICAL to 4.0L except that the Princ file is smaller (31K). I also understand that some Font/Da Mover 3.5 will work while some will not. As I said before, I can not reproduce the reported problems. Under system 4.1, 'option n A' and 'option n O' no longer do what they used to do under earlier system files. This is NOT the fault of Princeton font. .
