I recently upgraded(?) my Macintosh Plus to a Machintosh SE. Now suddenly I recall all the complaints about its fan! Indeed, it makes a rotton noise and causes the screen to wabble. For the first time since I started maccing, I find I shut the thing off unless I'm actually using it. My question. I seem to recall that there were work-arounds some people had devised such as adding a strategic resistor someplace. Also there was discussion of substitute fans. Would someone be so kind as to forward the information to me? By the way, the "upgrade" was achieved by ordering the SE and giving the Plus to one of the engineers who reports to me. Should I pull rank and demand my Plus back? Niel Ransom
