[comp.sys.mac] 4MB SIMMs -- will they work with Mac+ and SE?

moriarty@tc.fluke.COM (Jeff Meyer) (09/15/87)

Noticed on the cover of the EE Times that TI plans to start sampling 4MB
SIMMs in the first quarter of '88. Anyone know if these will work in a Mac+
or a Mac SE? (I'm sure I heard someone say they'll work in a Mac II).

Geez, think how long it'll take to perform the RAM test with 16 MB...

                         go bowling whenever I want!"

I would note that the software architecture (memory map) prevents
a Plus from having more than 4 Mb or a II from having more than
8 Mb, at least in 24-bit mode.
