I have a Vermont Research Corporation magnetic drum available to a good home on VERY reaonable terms. This drum has been a part of a 9900 based computer system I constructed. There is a controller that could be included that operates over a simple 16 bit address and data DMA bus. The drum in is good condition, with the VRC electronics. Electronics to connect it with a PDP-1 have been removed, and are not available. Physically, the drum is mounted in a 19" rack, and occupies most of the rack space. The whole unit, including power supplies, interface logic, drum, rack, and fans, weighs about 600 pounds. This drum is perfect for spare parts for a computer buried in the basement of a computer museum, or for full time use in a variety of homebrew and educational settings. The computer, although I am not in a hurry to get rid of it, could also be available to a good, loving home. I need to move the drum out due to space constraints. The room holding it is about to become a darkroom. -- ____________________________________________________________________________ cmm (carl m mikkelsen) | (617)657-8720x2310 Pixel Computer Incorporated | 260 Fordham Road | {allegra|ihnp4|cbosgd|ima|genrad|amd|harvard}\ Wilmington, Ma. 01887 | !wjh12!pixel!pixadv!cmm
