Is the second disk drive for the MAC II the same as the SE? Is it the same as the standard drive for the Mac+? Are there any good third party drive....cheap? Thanks in advance. -- tektronix!reed!omen!bucket!martyl (Marty Lee)

In fact, I took the top drive out of my SE and installed it in my II. No hu-hu. >Is it the same as the standard drive for the Mac+? I think so, and I think it's the same drive unit as in the 800K external. I seem to remember hearing of someone ripping aprt an external and putting the drive in their II, but I haven't done this. >Are there any good third party drive....cheap? I haven't heard of any... My advice: find someone buying an SE who wants a faster or larger drive than the Apple 20Mb Internal. Get them to buy a CMS Pro-40/i (a great drive, particularly if you can get it from CMS at developer price), and buy their second internal floppy. Stew Rubenstein Cambridge Scientific Computing, Inc.
