I think it is great that there are resources like comp.binaries.mac and folks who are willing to take the time to donate and/or upload binaries. However, there are often cases where a cryptically named .hqx file is submitted with virtually no information in the posting itself to identify what it is. The file "NetHack 1.4f" is a recent example. Perhaps there was a message on comp.sys.mac that described this file - I missed it. So I would have to search the archives for that note, or download all 12(!) parts and un-hex the mess just to see if I have any use for it. So please, if you submit a binary, put at least a minimal description of the file at the top of the posting (before the BinHex stuff). Thanks. -- Julian Vrieslander (607) 255-3594 Neurobiology & Behavior, W250 Mudd Hall, Cornell University, Ithaca NY 14853 UUCP: {cmcl2,decvax,rochester,uw-beaver,ihnp4}!cornell!batcomputer!eacj ARPA: eacj@tcgould.tn.cornell.edu BITNET: eacj@CRNLTHRY
