I am interested in buying a Mac+ with hard drive or an SE. As this decision was rather sudden (I realized that access was deteriorating and if I ever want to finish my thesis I need my own machine) I am not too well versed in the current state of the field. Are there external (Or internal) hard drives which are comparable to the Apple one which is 'authorized' (20 Meg)? What exactly makes the SE such an improvement over the Mac+? (Here there's only $700 between the Mac+ with hard drive and the SE and if the SE is much better it would be feasible to get one. On the other hand, I am an unfunded grad student and can't afford to spend money for no reason) I will be using it primarily for word proc., database, and drawing so my need for speed etc is small. I do need LOTS of disk space (hence the hard drive). Any suggestions and information will be gratefully welcomed (also if anyone in the Toronto-Kitchener area of S. Ontario is selling...) Thanks in advance. Mary Margaret Schuck.
