[For the line eaters...] I have a MacSE and am currently trying to implement sounds using the PLAY command in HyperCard. The program has three _snd_ resources (boing, harp- sichord, and silence), and when I enter in the command window play "boing" every thing is fine. Call me picky, call me a snob, but I just can't do with three (actually two, considering the sound "silence") sounds. My "simple" solution? Call the sounds from the system! Right? Wrong! Next "solution" was to copy the resources from System 4.1 to HyperCard (via ResEdit) and try again. No dice. Help! How can I a. use sound resources not included with HyperCard successfully, b. locate/obtain new snd resources, and c. use the snds as the sysbeep (i.e. the Mac II through a CDEV)? I heard there was a 'shareware' or PD solution to this, but I don't know if it is a CDEV or DA (or what). If it is PD or shareware and somebody has it, could that party e-mail it to me? If not, I'd appreciate some more info. Thanks. -- DJ
