On the whole, I would agree with all those that have said (in the MacScheme Warning Thread) that the user too stupid to realize the disk isn't going in normally gets what they deserve when they force it in none-the-less.... BUT.... Isn't this the machine FOR THE STUPID USER? Isn't that why there wasn't any arrow/esc/control keys??? Because such things are SO confusing? Now you want the nits these things were designed for to LOOK AT THE BLASTED DISK???? removing tongue from cheek.... The AC is, in MHO, one of the POTENTIALLY most powerful systems out. But this idea of "The Computer for the Rest of Us" (read REST OF THEM), is not, really such a hot idea. I get VERY tired of the damn stupid system asking me if I want to save an empty document when I quit miniWriter (the editor I use to write the messages I then upload into pnews...I cut all the tex I've writen, then 'paste to modem") Since I've cut all the text, there is nothing to save, but Mac Mickey Mouse guide lines say - ask the user if he's sure...after all, he is far to stupid to really want to do what he has just asked for. With a system designed this way, are these questions and all the talk they generate pretty much something that you have to expect? the cheeser with the 103 fever. -- =============================================================================== Jonathan Bing, Master (cheeser) ...ihnp4!hoptoad!dasys1!cheeser Time flys like an Arrow, Fruit Flies like Bananas! ===============================================================================
