I was working on my Mac SE, equipped with a Radius Accelerator (more on that in my next post), and I noticed that the "Kolor" cdev, which lets you add color to windows, menus, and controls, had appeared in my cdev list, even though I wasn't using a Mac II. I clicked on it, and the machine promptly died. This happened in several applications, including the Finder. If I didn't know better, I'd say that Kolor isn't checking for the presence (or absence) of Color QuickDraw.... If you are using a 68020 board of *any* brand, watch out for this. --Rich **The opinions stated herein are my own opinions and do not necessarily represent the policies or opinions of my employer (THINK Technologies, Inc). * Richard M. Just change the 'mach' resource to be '$3FFF $0000' as documented in IM Volume V (APDA Draft), Page 17-6 (Control Panel). Palomar's Colors cdev does this, and thus is not visible except on a Mac II. I would be suprised if Russ didn't get this right on his released version of Kolor, as he researched all the other issues very thoroughly. -- Joel West (c/o UCSD) Palomar Software, Inc., P.O.
