I'm having a problem when using Microsoft Word 3.01 with my Mac+(sys4.1 + Finder5.5). The problem is two apparently different versions of the Geneva font are being used- is there such a thing as versions of fonts (like system fonts, for instance). When I kick-in Word and open my document the the selected text i s indicated to be Geneva 12pt. When this is printed I get an ugly Geneva font printed; however when I chose another font file with Fontsie Fkey(v2.0) the printed result is a very good Geneva font. I haven't been able to install the "Good" geneva font with Font/DA moverv3.5, only with Fontsie. Tell me what's happening. Thanks, Eric. E-mail would be appreciated as well as a net reply. ------- ERIC H. ROMO <UD069225@NDSUVM1.BITNET> CHEMISTRY DEPT. UNIV. OF NORTH DAKOTA GRAND FORKS, N.D.

BTW,I'm using an Imagewriter II. I'm trying to use that Geneva font because it gives me the nearest letter quality of any I have- it looks the best off of the IM II.I own an Imagewriter and access to a Laserwriter is very inconvenient Hope to hear more, thanks. ------- ERIC H. When the Mac prints out a file on the Imagewriter, it looks for a double-sized version of the font you are using to print high-quality. So if you are using Geneva-12, it will print with Geneva-24 if availible. Try using F/DA Mover to move Geneva-24 onto the disk. Brian Rauchfuss "Hey, lay off man, I'm a scientist."
