After printing on my ImageWriter in certain applications, I'm not able to turn on AppleTalk, either by selecting it directly or by selecting the LaserWriter driver. A box comes up informing me that the Printer port is in use, even if printing finished okay and I've already quit the application. The only way to turn on the LaserWriter driver is to reboot first. There's never any problem with going from LW to IW, even after printing (or at least saving a PostScript file). This happens after printing in: Word 3.01 MacWrite 4.6 MacDraw 9997B This does NOT happen after printing in: TeachText 1.0 MacPaint 1.5 HyperCard 1.01 (i.e., I CAN make AppleTalk active after printing on the IW.) The rest of the configuration is: MacPlus, 1 meg Original ImageWriter System 4.1 Finder 5.5 Chooser 3.1 ImageWriter driver 2.6 LaserWriter driver 4.0 Has anyone else seen this? What can be done to cure it? Thanks, -- Paul Suhler suhler@im4u.UTEXAS.EDU 512-474-9517/471-3903
