[comp.sys.mac] LSC Out of Memory error

mike@artsvax.UUCP (Michael Czeiszperger) (10/23/87)

After doing nothing more than adding more DLOG resources to my
resource file, LSC will now not build my application, complaining
of a lack of memory. Since I'm using a 2Meg MacII, I don't see how
it could be out of memory. And why would the size of the resource
file have to do with anything? It is only about 18k large.

Does anyone know what is going on?

Thanks,

I can't see a reason why LightspeedC should suddenly refuse to
build an application, unless your resource file map has somehow gotten
corrupted; I have seen Lightspeed Pascal crash when trying to merge a
corrupted resource file.

One thing you might try is saving what resources you can and
rebuilding the resource file.

I had that problem this weekend. Your resource file is currupted!
I hope you have a backup. You may be able to copy your changed resource
from the file and past it into your backup copy.

I THINK this is a bug, the error message is way out in left field. I
was lucky that i found the problem.
