Does anyone know if it is possible to hook a Letter Quality printer up to a Mac +. Not all of us are rich enough for a Laser Writer, but it would be nice to be able to generate some better quality printouts than are available from the Imagewriter II. I realize that the Mac sends out printing information in terms of character bitmaps (or something to that effect). Is there any software that will convert a document from Mac graphic format so that a regular LQ printer could print a Mac document (albeit without the fancy character sets and proportional spacing, etc.). Thanks in advance. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Steve DeJarnett | ...!ihnp4!csun!polyslo!sdejarne | | Computer Systems Lab | ...!{csustan,csun,sdsu}!polyslo!sdejarne | | Cal Poly State Univ | ...!ucbvax!voder!polyslo!sdejarne | | San Luis Obispo, CA 93407 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not all of us are rich enough for a Laser The French department here has a Qume Daisy wheel on a Mac Plus for use with Word. There's also serial drivers that will work with just about any application. One was posted to comp.mac.binaries not long ago. Peter Steele Acadia Univ.
