[net.music] "The White Album"

I believe that the official name of this LP is simply, "The Beatles." Of
course just about everyone in the known universe probably does refer to it
as "The White Album."

I have Joachim Berendt's "The Jazz Book", which is sort of a history
and encyclopedia of Jazz music. Along the way, he gets into offshoots
and descendants of Jazz, including Rock. When I first saw his
reference to an album by the Beatles simply titled "The Beatles", it
was days before I found out what he was talking about.
