I had a problem that caused me to reformat my DF 20. What happened was that DiskExpress told me that more than one file owned the same block. Unfortunately, it did not tell me which files, so I did a backup and reformatted the drive. I have Init 2.6 (I don't know which is the newest). It formatted ok. Then I used DiskFit to restore the drive. Upon the 2nd floppy, I started to get a lot of messages to the effect: Trouble restoring ___ folder: Error -127 (Disk corrupted?) This continued. If I quit DiskFit, then returning to the Finder gave me a corrupted DataFrame. So, I had to reformat and reinitialize the drive again. I tried this several times. Each time I ran into the same error. So, then I proceeded to reinit everything and restore it by hand. This takes a LONG time (29 floppies - and I have to restore the folder structure). Well, I restored everything, and I still have a DiskExpress problem that reports: More than one file owns the same block. How can I get rid of this? What causes this? Could it be hardware problems? Anyone know a fix? Help!!!!!! Herb Barad [USC - Signal and Image Processing Institute] email: barad@brand.usc.edu or ...!sdcrdcf!oberon!brand!barad
