I have a Dataframe 20 with which I use SuperLaserSpool. I also have an SE for which my copy of SuprLaserSpool does not work because 'it is not a Dataframe drive.' I also noticed that SuperLaserSpool is marketed separately for a substantial price (~$100). Is this SLS for other drives? What else is different about the release SLS that makes it so pricey? Send replies to me... Thanks _______________________________________________________

SuperMac bundles SuperLaserSpool with every drive they ship in order to increase the differentiation between DataFrames and their competitors. The same product, minus the hardware checking, sells (very well, indeed) through their SuperMac Software division at a list price of $149.95 for those who do not own DataFrames. I believe that they would have preferred you ask" Why are they giving me such a pricey product free?" Larry Zulch, Dantz Software Development

WARNING!!!!!!!!!!! IF YOU WISH TO PURCHASE A DATA FRAME AND YOU ARE GOING TO END NETWORKING IN THE FUTURE BEWARE!!!!!!!!!! THE PROGRAM THAT YOU NEED TO BACK IT UP TO DISKETTES RUNS AN ADDITIONAL $395. ALSO IF YOU PURCHASE A HARD DRIVE THAT INCLUDES A TAPE BACKUP, YOU CAN'T USE THE DAMN THING IN A NETWORK BECAUSE THEY HAVEN'T EVEN DEVELOPED THIS SOFTWARE. I AM UPSET SIMPLY FOR THE FACT THAT ACCORDING TO THE ADVERTISEMENT, AND WHAT THE DEALER SAID, THIS HARD DRVIE WORKS WELL WITH APPLESHARE. WELL WHEN YOU HAVE 14 (YES, I HAVE 14 MAC'S ON ONE (I HAVE 3 SEPARATE APPLESHARE SYSTEMS WITH A COMBINED TOTAL OF 45 MAC'S, 6 HARD DRIVES (2 APPLE, 3 MIRROR, AND 1 DATA FRAME)) I ALSO HAVE 45 COPIES OF SUPERLASERSPOOL WHICH I ENJOY AS LONG AS I DON'T TRY TO USE PAGEMAKER 2.0 (WE ARE PUBLISHING COMPANY).
