Keywords:upgrade cost strategy
Recently I have been calling around to apple dealers trying to
get a price on a 512K conversion. While the sum of $900 is sort of
awesome It's falls with Apple's strategy as usuall. But as I hear
rumors about Apple's plan to discontinue the upgrade in December
I am worried. As a college student I don't see a way to afford
the upgrade by December.(Does anyone want a 512K!!!!!!!!!!......
Just Joking.......). Has anyone heard anything on this?
Thank-you,
Daniel Gibson

Better to buy MAC than to buy IBM!!!!!!!!

At MacHack West, the tech support folks denied that the upgrades
would be discontinued, saying they'd tracked it down recently.
I would rather get an upgrade sooner rather than later. However,
you don't have to buy the whole kit at once. In particular,
you never need the keyboard, and the Level 2 can wait. It's
only the Level 1 that's really necessary right away
(a third party memory upgrade would be nice). If your
dealer says you can only buy one with the other, try another
dealer.
