I have a Mac SE w/ 20 meg internal HD. The version of HD SC Setup that came
with it was 1.1. Initializing the internal HD gave me 19,834K available.
Along comes System 4.2, with version 1.5 of HD SC Setup. I decide to backup
the HD, re-format with 1.5 and restore. Version 1.5 leaves me with 19,139K
free on the hard disk - 695K has just gone bye-bye!
So, I decide to re-format with 1.1, and install the new driver from 1.5, and
now have that 695K back.
Could someone please explain why Mac SE users should lose 695K by using the
most recent version of Apple HD SC Setup?
