Get this! MacWeek (or was it Mac Today, or was it.... anyway) had a little blurb on "Soft PC" the IBM PC emulation software that reportedly is compatible down to the chip level. "This is it!" I say to myself. A nice cheap solution to the IBM compatibility question, and it can even be easily updated. Then comes the kicker--it will run under A/UX!!! Good grief! Instead of paying $1500 for AST's 80286 board you pay $4000 or so for A/UX so you can run MS-DOS stuff on (not that you really want to--but some people just won't switch). Does anyone know if a more sensible company is working on a software IBM PC emulator that runs under the regular Mac system?
